Tumeltsham, July 10, 2026
The locksmith company Thebert Metallbau GmbH, headquartered in Tumeltsham (district of Ried), filed for opening of bankruptcy proceedings at the Regional Court of Ried im Innkreis on Friday, affecting 16 employees and around 78 creditors.
As the creditor protection association AKV (Alpenländische Kreditorenverband) announced, the company specializes in metal construction work as well as aluminum-glass facades, windows, doors, and fire protection structures. Founded in 2000, the company has now slipped into insolvency for the second time within a year.
First Insolvency and Restructuring Plan
Just one year ago, a restructuring proceeding without self-administration had been opened. In this proceeding, a restructuring plan with a total quota of 20 percent was accepted and judicially confirmed, payable in two partial installments within twelve and 24 months respectively. Despite these restructuring measures, the economic situation could not be stabilized on a sustainable basis, which has now led to renewed insolvency.
