Fulda, June 13, 2026
On its second day of the state festival, the Hessentag in Fulda drew thousands of people who enjoyed the diverse program of concerts, an AI experience world, and activities centered on volunteer work under sunny skies.
Following a rainy opening, sunny weather at the start of the weekend tempted thousands of people to visit the Hessentag in Fulda. The stalls were bustling as early as midday, with numerous families with children out and about. A city spokesperson expressed satisfaction: „Die Stadt ist voll, die Menschen sind gut gelaunt“. Officials were confident that visitor numbers would increase further in the coming days thanks to better weather.
The festival had already drawn good crowds on Friday despite drizzle: according to the city, around 1,400 guests attended the official opening ceremony in the courtyard of the city palace. A sold-out Roland Kaiser concert on Saturday evening was set to crown the second festival day. In total, visitors to the Hessentag can choose from 1,200 free events through June 21.
