Austria's women's volleyball national team lost 1:3 to Greece at the European Championship in Brno, but achieved a historic milestone with a set win.

Following the defeat on August 25, 2026, in Brno, the Austrian team continues to wait for its first European Championship victory. Against Greece, they suffered a 1:3 loss, but at least the ÖVV women managed a historic first set win at a Volleyball European Championship. They have thus at least recorded a partial success, even though the points in the table went to their opponents.
