TSG Hoffenheim and English Premier League club Newcastle United have agreed on a transfer of Bazoumana Touré according to reports from Sky, Kicker and The Athletic; the fee for the Ivorian winger is said to be around 50 million euros.
This would see Hoffenheim clearly surpass its previous record sale. The previous most expensive transfer for the Kraichgau-based club was Joelinton, who also moved to Newcastle in 2019 – at the time, a fee of 43.5 million euros was mentioned. With the deal now in the offing, the North Badeners would crack the 50-million-euro mark for the first time and at the same time Hoffenheim's previous highest income from a player sale — which just topped the 40-million-euro mark — would be significantly increased.
