TSG 1899 Hoffenheim has signed Belgian midfield talent Nathan De Cat from RSC Anderlecht, which according to internal club expectations, surpasses Adam Hlozek as the most expensive acquisition in the club's history.
With the signing of Nathan De Cat, TSG 1899 Hoffenheim is strengthening its central midfield with one of the most sought-after young players in Europe. The 17-year-old, born on 19 July 2008, moves from Belgian first-division club RSC Anderlecht to the Kraichgau and has been given a long-term contract. According to the club's own portrayal, the Kraichgau side prevailed over notable competition from across Europe. In Belgium, a base fee of 20 million euros is being mentioned, and including bonuses, the total transfer sum is also expected to settle in that range.
