Iran has published a list of demands addressed to the United States, while Yemen's Houthi movement announced an attack on a Saudi Aramco facility in Saudi Arabia, according to reports dated 9 August 2026.

The Iranian list, addressed to Washington, demands that the United States refrain from threatening Iran in the future, permanently end what Iran describes as a war with Iran and its armed allies across the region, and lift the naval blockade of Iranian ports, according to two sources that corroborated the demands. Iran also calls for the withdrawal of US military forces from the region, full compensation for war damages, the lifting of sanctions, and the unconditional release of frozen Iranian assets.
