Spanish football coach Andoni Iraola is on the verge of a move to FC Liverpool, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano. Romano reported on the platform X that the club and the 43-year-old had reached a basic agreement. The sports portal The Athletic also picked up the report and wrote about the Reds' coach. Romano did not provide details on the contract duration.
Iraola's Success at Bournemouth
Iraola has worked successfully at AFC Bournemouth, a club from southern England, for the past three years. His contract there is expiring, and the coach had announced early on that he wanted to leave Bournemouth after three years. In the just-concluded Premier League season, he led the club to sixth place in the table, securing qualification for the Europa League. In the final standings, Bournemouth was only three points behind FC Liverpool.
