Israel's Ben-Gvir said targeted killings should be carried out nightly in Gaza, eliminating 30 to 40 people each night, including those he described as not worthy of living.
What Ben-Gvir said
Itamar Ben-Gvir, an Israeli government minister, made the remarks in comments reported by multiple outlets on 16 August 2026. Speaking in remarks carried across Spanish-language and other international media, he argued that Israel's military campaign in the Gaza Strip should adopt a more aggressive posture toward civilians he characterized as threats. "Creo que deberían llevarse a cabo asesinatos selectivos en Gaza, eliminando a 30 o 40 cada noche. No solo a quienes representan una amenaza inmediata: hay gente allí que no es digna de vivir. No deberían vivir. Ni siquiera son personas," he said, according to the reports.
