Israeli sources have said the Flydubai co-pilot accused of attempting to hijack a flight earlier this month probably acted alone, as investigators in the United Arab Emirates and Israel continue to examine a motive that has not yet been determined.
The instruction to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office was issued as a statement from the premier's office, according to Israeli reporting. Officials in both countries have characterised the episode as an attempted terrorist attack, even as investigators stress that they are still piecing together what drove the accused crew member to act.
