Jella Veit moves from Eintracht Frankfurt to Union Berlin

According to information from the club's surroundings, the team is facing an extensive squad rebuild. In addition to Veit, national team players Nicole Anyomi and Elisa Senß are also said to be leaving the Hessian side.

Overhaul at Eintracht Frankfurt

The club is thus losing three German national team players within a short period of time. In addition, Swiss players Géraldine Reuteler and Nadine Riesen will no longer be part of the Frankfurt squad next season. From a sporting and personnel standpoint, Eintracht Frankfurt now faces a phase of reorientation.

At Union Berlin, Veit will have the opportunity to further develop her game at a high Bundesliga level. The capital city club had recently drawn attention through targeted signings from the Frankfurt area: Lisanne Gräwe had already made the move from Eintracht Frankfurt to Union Berlin.

Union Berlin as a destination

Veit brings experience from more than 40 Bundesliga appearances as well as from numerous junior international matches. With her senior national team debut in March against Norway, she also gained initial experience in the circle of established players around head coach Christian Wück.

The move is part of a series of changes that will affect the women's Bundesliga in the 2026/27 season. Frankfurt must not only fill sporting gaps but also build new figureheads, while Union Berlin continues on its chosen course with another young national team player.

Neither club disclosed details regarding the length of Veit's contract with Union Berlin. An official confirmation from the Berlin-based club was also still pending at the time of the announcement. Veit is expected to be available to her new club for the start of preseason in the summer.
