FC Schalke 04 has reached an agreement with midfielder Junior Dina Ebimbe from Eintracht Frankfurt according to WAZ information, with the two clubs closing in on the transfer fee.

According to a report by Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung (WAZ), player and club have reached a basic understanding, and talks between the clubs are now underway. The fee is reportedly set to be just over one million euros – a fraction of what Eintracht Frankfurt paid to Paris Saint-Germain in 2023 after a one-year loan. At the time, the Hessians signed the Frenchman permanently for 6.5 million euros; other sources cite seven million euros.

Transfer strategy of the Royal Blues

Schalke 04 has returned to the Bundesliga as a promoted side and is assembling its squad accordingly to be Bundesliga-ready for the coming season. In addition to Ebimbe, the Royal Blues have already signed Satoshi Tanaka from Fortuna Düsseldorf for one million euros and Junior Adamu from SC Freiburg for 800,000 euros – totaling around 1.8 million euros in spending on the two signings so far.
