US actor Justin Baldoni has spoken publicly at length for the first time in a video message on Instagram, roughly two months after settling the lawsuit with his film colleague Blake Lively.
Background of the conflict
In the video, which ran several minutes and was shared by his wife Emily Baldoni, the 42-year-old said there had been many painful things put out into the world over the past years. "And not because we had nothing to say," Baldoni said. Every time they had wanted to record a video like this, something had told them not to do it.
His wife Emily added: "And the truth and the facts have spoken for themselves." The couple refrained from making any concrete statement on the allegations or the outcome of the proceedings in the clip. The release coincides with the civil settlement between the parties, which had been reported on in May.
