The Schloss-Spiele Kobersdorf celebrated a turbulent premiere on Tuesday evening with Michael Frayn's comedy classic "Noises Off," at which the audience bestowed the ensemble around artistic director Wolfgang Böck with cries of "Bravo" and sustained applause.

The Schloss-Spiele Kobersdorf launched their new season on Tuesday evening, staging one of the most frequently performed comedies of the 20th century, Michael Frayn's "Noises Off," on the open-air stage in Burgenland's Kobersdorf. Frayn premiered the play in London in 1982; a well-known film adaptation was made in 1992 starring Michael Caine. Artistic director Wolfgang Böck had scheduled the classic for the current season and appears on stage together with a nine-member ensemble.
