The LASK is in the play-off round of Champions League qualification and will face either Bodo/Glimt or the winner of the tie between Dinamo Zagreb and Viking Stavanger, depending on the outcome of a previous round.

The draw in Nyon has opened up a potential path to the Champions League group stage for the LASK. As shown in the overview released by UEFA, the Austrian representative is seeded in a path at the end of which either Bodo/Glimt from Norway or the winner of the Dinamo Zagreb vs. Viking Stavanger tie would await. This means Kühbauer's side still faces one unknown as the final opponent before the premier competition.
