The food discounter Lidl Austria is recalling a single batch of "1001 delights Dubai Style Schokolade Pistazien Eis" made by manufacturer De Jongs Ijs, because it cannot be ruled out that the product contains traces of cashew nuts.

Which batch is exactly affected

The recall concerns exclusively the batch with the identifier D2W50J25R1 and the best-before date of December 8, 2027 in the 500 ml / 300 g package. Other batches as well as other products from the manufacturer are not affected, according to Lidl Austria.

As the company states, "kann nicht ausgeschlossen werden, dass in dem Eis Cashewkerne enthalten sind". For people with a corresponding allergy, consumption of the product could be dangerous. People without a cashew allergy could "problemlos genießen" the ice cream, according to the retailer.
