At an outdoor pool in Upper Austria, a lifeguard allegedly threatened children with a Taser pulled from his trouser pocket just before closing time, as reported by the Kronenzeitung in its Thursday edition.
The Kronenzeitung describes the incident on Thursday, which is said to have taken place in a municipality in the district of Vöcklabruck in Upper Austria. According to the report, the man first approached children who were still in the water and reportedly called out to them: "Gehts aussi." He is then said to have pulled a Taser from his trouser pocket, held it up, and activated it.
An anonymous swimmer was quoted by "Krone" as saying: "Man hat es richtig blitzen gesehen und auch ein Knistern war zu hören." The newspaper bases its account on several witness statements from the pool.
