The 18-year-old from East Tyrol, Lilli Tagger, has reached the final at the WTA-250 tournament in Prague by defeating two-time Grand Slam winner Barbora Krejcikova 6:7(5), 6:3, 7:6(4).

Prague – Lilli Tagger set another milestone in her still-young tennis career on Saturday at the WTA-250 tournament in Prague. The 18-year-old from East Tyrol defeated two-time Grand Slam winner and WTA number 26, Barbora Krejcikova, in the semifinal after 2 hours and 50 minutes with a score of 6:7(5), 6:3, 7:6(4), thus reaching a final for the second time after Jiujiang in China last year.
As the Austrian Tennis Federation (ÖTV) announced, the 18-year-old from East Tyrol defeated Czech local heroine Barbora Krejcikova, seeded number two at the tournament, in the semifinal on Saturday evening. Krejcikova is a two-time major winner: she won the French Open in 2021 and triumphed at Wimbledon in 2024.
