Zandvoort, 23 May 2026
Lucas Auer sits second in the DTM drivers’ championship after a mixed weekend at Zandvoort, trailing leader Maro Engel by six points.
The Austrian driver, racing for Mercedes-AMG, left the Dutch seaside circuit just six points adrift of Engel following Sunday’s fourth round, with Marco Wittmann and Thomas Preining also firmly in the title hunt.
Engel holds 67 points after the fourth race, while Auer sits on 61. Wittmann follows with 52 points and Preining has 46, leaving the top four separated by only 21 points.
Auer endured a difficult Sunday race, crossing the line in 13th place and missing a chance to apply more pressure to Engel.
