Nuremberg, August 30, 2026

1. FC Nürnberg confirmed its strong start to the season in the 2. Bundesliga, defeating Arminia Bielefeld thanks to an early goal from Mohamed Ali Zoma.

In front of their home crowd in Nuremberg, the Club produced the perfect opening. As early as the 11th minute, striker Mohamed Ali Zoma, who was born in Italy, provided the breakthrough. After a pass from Finn Becker, he launched a solo run, left Maxi Bauer in his wake, and slotted the ball into the far corner from an acute angle. It was already his fourth goal of the season — proof of the attacker's fine form in the opening weeks of the campaign.

The goal came after a lightning-quick transition from Nürnberg that caught the Bielefeld defense off guard. Becker had won the ball in midfield and immediately played a precise pass in behind to set Zoma free. The combination between the two attacking players became the decisive moment of the match in the early stages.
