Situation in the municipalities

The German Cities and Municipalities Association sees the cities and municipalities in Germany facing growing tasks in view of increasing global warming. Ralph Spiegler pointed to the need to consistently advance drinking water supply, the expansion of green spaces, and flood protection. Without reliable financial resources for municipalities, bottlenecks in supply and in protection against extreme weather events would be imminent.
