At the Rostock Regional Court on Thursday, a forensic pathologist testified about the autopsy of eight-year-old Fabian, who, according to the indictment, was stabbed to death at a pond near Klein Upahl on October 10, 2025, and subsequently set on fire.

Findings of the Forensic Pathologist

The ninth day of the murder trial of eight-year-old Fabian was dominated by forensic evidence. As announced in previous days, the appointed forensic pathologist presented his key findings from the autopsy, which had been conducted on October 15, the day after the body was found. The prosecution had insisted on discussing the circumstances of death in public evidence, as the manner of killing was of essential importance for the fundamental classification of the trace evidence. According to the indictment, Fabian was stabbed to death at a pond near Klein Upahl on October 10, 2025, and then set on fire.
