Crew of Four Experienced Spacefarers
Randy Bresnik will lead the mission as commander. According to the space agency, the 58-year-old NASA astronaut brings roughly half as much spaceflight experience as his pilot and has 32 hours of spacewalk experience. At his side is Andre Douglas, a 40-year-old mission specialist who was selected for astronaut training in 2021 and will be making his first spaceflight. Also part of the prime crew is Frank Rubio, who has already spent 370 days in space and has 21 hours and 24 minutes of extravehicular activity. Presented as a backup crew member was 51-year-old Robert Hines, who already has a 170-day space mission behind him.
