Braunschweig, June 4, 2026

A sold-out open-air concert by singer Nena in Braunschweig's Lokpark was canceled on Thursday evening, about an hour before its planned start, due to expected severe storm gusts.

The cancellation was announced via the Instagram channels of Nena and the organizer Undercover. Nena wrote there that she had been looking forward to the show but considered the decision necessary. She stated verbatim: "Very strong storm gusts are expected and the organizer considers the risk too high" and added: "I am very sorry, I was really looking forward to the show."

Undercover also addressed the audience via Instagram, asking them to follow the instructions of the security personnel. The company stated: "If you are on site, please follow the instructions of the security personnel and be considerate of each other." In addition, guests were asked to leave the Lokpark premises about an hour before the planned concert start.
