Brazilian football star Neymar is at risk of missing Brazil's World Cup match against Morocco due to a calf injury and faces an extended period on the sidelines.
Neymar continues to struggle with the effects of a calf injury. The 34-year-old also missed training on the day before the match against Morocco, according to consistent reports from Brazilian media. His participation in the Seleção's World Cup opener on Thursday is looking increasingly doubtful.
Injury Status and Missed Training Session
The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) had recently announced that the 34-year-old was making progress. However, that assessment now appears to be put into perspective after the missed training day. The injury to the back of his thigh, colloquially also described as a calf problem, has repeatedly held Neymar back in recent weeks.
