North Korea launched a ballistic missile from the Wonsan area in the early morning hours of October 3, 2026, according to South Korean military sources, and it flew more than 700 kilometers.
The Yonhap news agency reported the launch citing the South Korean military. According to the report, the projectile was fired in the early morning from the eastern coastal town of Wonsan on the East Sea and covered a distance of more than 700 kilometers. A spokesperson for the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff told Yonhap that the armed forces had tracked the flight in real time and were analyzing the projectile together with allies.
