During the searches, officers seized a total of 14 grams of cocaine, eleven grams of cannabis, 13 grams of MDMA, three grams of ketamine, five joints, and one ecstasy tablet.

Warnings About Knockout Drops

The police also addressed the issue of knockout drops in their report. In several incidents, reports were made regarding possible substances that can be used to render a person incapacitated. In this context, the police pointed to the designated reporting centers and the possibility of reporting suspected cases.

Drone Deployment and Police Assessment

In addition to conventional checks, the police also deployed drones. According to the report, these were used, among other things, to support patrols and to monitor the festival grounds.

The police described the operation as proceeding according to plan. The event itself and the cooperation with the organizers, emergency services, and the fire department were said to have been coordinated smoothly.

The Electric Love Festival, known as ELF, has been one of the largest electronic music festivals in Austria for years, regularly drawing tens of thousands of visitors. The police report is traditionally released following the event.

Looking ahead, the police announced that the targeted enforcement checks would continue in a comparable form. The presence of drones is also to be maintained at future major events.
