Protests in Tirana Against Planned Trump Family Luxury Project on Albanian Coast

According to AFP information, prominent figures are also mixed in among the demonstrators. US rapper Kanye West is said to have participated in protest actions in Tirana. His involvement has further intensified the debate internationally and drawn attention to the Albanian coast.

The Trump family itself has not publicly commented on the protests so far. Jared Kushner, who is considered the central investor, has also not issued any statement on the allegations from environmental organizations. The Albanian government says it is continuing to negotiate the details of the project.

Observers see the conflict as a litmus test for Albania's handling of major foreign investors. While the government is banking on rapid economic progress, parts of civil society are demanding more participation and an independent environmental review.
