Vienna, 01 July 2026

Austria plays on Thursday, 2 July, at 21:00 local time in Los Angeles in the World Cup Round of 16 against Spain, with public viewing locations across the country broadcasting on big screens.

Following the dramatic 3:3 draw against Algeria, which sparked exuberant celebrations in Kansas City, Austria has reached the World Cup Round of 16 for the first time since 1982. The Round of 16 match on Thursday in Los Angeles also marks the first knockout-stage game featuring Austria since 1954. Accordingly, demand for public screenings throughout the country is high.
