In the insolvency proceedings involving the Salzburg-based cream-product company QimiQ, 195 creditors have filed claims amounting to approximately 6.3 million euros, of which around 4.2 million euros have so far been recognized, according to the credit protection association KSV1870.

Initial Situation in the Proceedings

The company's economic difficulties had already become apparent in March, when the product was temporarily unavailable in many Austrian supermarkets. Customers at the time reacted with surprise to the sudden supply shortages on the shelves.

As the credit protection association announced on Thursday, of the total claims filed, approximately 2.1 million euros are still disputed. These must be examined in the upcoming negotiation rounds at the Salzburg Regional Court before a final distribution becomes possible.
