SK Rapid Wien won the second leg of the second qualifying round of the Conference League against Andorran side FC Santa Coloma 6:2 (3:1) on Wednesday evening at the Wiener Weststadion and has thus advanced a round further.
Reactions to the Match
In front of 13,208 spectators at the Weststadion, Rapid controlled the game from the start. The Austrian Bundesliga side took an early lead through Ercan Kara in the 10th minute and extended the advantage through Petter Nosa Dahl (24th) to 2:0. The underdog from Andorra did pull one back through Guti (30th), but just three minutes later Kara restored the two-goal margin with his second goal.
After the break, Rapid continued to turn up the heat. Centre-back Cvetkovic increased the lead to 4:1 in the 58th minute, before Kara marked his third goal of the evening in the 63rd minute to make it 5:1. Substitute Wurmbrand made it 6:1 in the 82nd minute, before Abreu scored for Santa Coloma in the 87th minute to set the final score at 6:2.
