Rapid Wien lost the second leg of the Europa League play-offs against Heart of Midlothian 3:4 after extra time on Tuesday evening in Hütteldorf and has consequently been eliminated.

The Viennese took an early lead through Yusuf Demir, but immediately conceded the equalizer. In the second half, the Scots turned the match around and went 2:1 up, before Adamsen was able to equalize in the 66th minute after an assist from Bajlicz. Just a few minutes later, Dahl, set up by Wurmbrand, put Rapid back in front.

But the joy was short-lived. Heart of Midlothian, coached by a Scottish coaching staff, fought back and forced extra time through Reus's equalizer. There, the visitors decided the match in their favor: first Wilson put Hearts ahead, then Braga sealed the late 4:3 knockout for Rapid.
