SK Rapid Wien played out a 2:2 draw on Thursday evening in the first leg of the UEFA Conference League play-off round away at Heart of Midlothian in Edinburgh.

The Hütteldorf side took on Scottish club Heart of Midlothian and produced a hard-fought match that ultimately ended in a 2:2 draw. Everything remains open ahead of the second leg in Vienna, and Rapid has earned a good starting position for advancing to the league phase of the Conference League.

The Green-Whites did, however, suffer a setback when one incident sparked debate. Pierre Kabore fouled Petter Nosa Dahl shortly after the break. Lithuanian referee Manfredas Lukjancukas decided against a red card and kept it at a caution. The decision was viewed sceptically by some observers, as the challenge was on the border of a sending-off.
