SK Rapid Wien travels to Estonia on Wednesday for the first leg of their UEFA Conference League qualifying round against Paide Linnameeskond, with head coach Johannes Hoff Thorup describing European competition as a clear priority for the Austrian club.
Rapid are playing in the third qualifying round of the UEFA Conference League and face Paide, an opponent from the Estonian top flight. Hoff Thorup addressed the media before the squad departed for Estonia and underlined the importance of the European campaign for the club. "Für uns hat der Europacup natürlich in mehreren Belangen eine große Priorität und wir wollen uns eine möglichst gute Ausgangsposition für das Rückspiel schaffen", he said, framing the away leg as a chance to build an advantage before the return fixture.
