Rapid Wien loans Moritz Oswald to WSG Tirol again

At Rapid itself, there had been no sign of a regular starting spot for the Vienna-born player in the plans of coach Robert Klauß. Even in the second team, Rapid II, the prospects for regular appearances in the Admiral Bundesliga were limited. The loan to Tirol is now intended to give the player the chance to prove himself at a higher level.

Oswald is already a familiar name at WSG Tirol. The club from Wattens had previously signed the attacking player in earlier transfer windows before he returned to Hütteldorf. The Tirol side is thus again relying on young talents from the Rapid pool in the new season.

From Rapid's perspective, the door remains open for a return. The player's contract in Vienna runs beyond the loan, and a return to the professional squad is fundamentally planned once the loan is completed. The aim is to further develop the player with minutes on the pitch and then integrate him back at Hütteldorf.

In the Admiral Bundesliga, WSG Tirol belongs to the group of clubs that place great emphasis on intensive youth development. For Oswald, the loan represents a second chance to showcase himself in Austria's top flight and put himself forward for bigger tasks.

The duration of the loan is set at one season. As is customary with loans between Austrian Bundesliga clubs, both clubs refrain from disclosing financial details of the agreement in the announcement.

With the completion of the transfer, Rapid is also responding to the recently heavy congestion in the attacking positions within the professional squad. The loan eases the competition for places in the squad without the player being lost in the long term.
