Salzburg, Austria — May 18, 2026

FC Red Bull Salzburg has dismissed head coach Daniel Beichler after the team finished third in the league, marking the first time in the Red Bull era that the club failed to secure a top-two position.

Disappointing Results Lead to Change

Marcus Mann, the club's sports director, stated that the team's performance under Beichler did not meet expectations. "Leider waren die Wochen unter Daniel Beichler als Cheftrainer nicht so, wie wir uns das erwartet hatten," Mann said, acknowledging the disappointing results. Beichler, who took over in mid-February, led the team for 14 games, achieving an average of 1.15 points per match.
