A research team including scientists from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel and the US National Cancer Institute has investigated the effect of PDE5 inhibitors such as sildenafil on cancer cells.

The collaboration brings together two prominent biomedical research centers. The Weizmann Institute of Science, based in Rehovot, is one of Israel's leading multidisciplinary research institutions, while the National Cancer Institute (NCI) is the US federal government's principal agency for cancer research and training.
