Pharmaceutical group Roche presented its 2026 half-year results on Thursday and confirmed its previous annual targets, even though the strong Swiss franc weighed on revenue reported in the reporting currency.

Roche generated revenue of 30.4 billion francs (32.80 billion euros) in the first six months. The group thereby met its own target, which is based on constant exchange rates. While this represents a decline of 2 percent in the reporting currency, on a currency-adjusted basis revenue increased by 6 percent. "In the first six months, Roche generated revenue of 30.4 billion francs (32.80 billion euros)," as Roche stated. Currency pressure was recently less severe.

In the first quarter of 2026, revenue in francs had still fallen by 5 percent. Management interpreted the smaller decline of 2 percent in the half-year comparison as a sign of easing pressure from the franc's appreciation.
