Leonid Volkov, a long-time associate of Navalny, sharply criticized the exclusion and warned that the upcoming election would increasingly become a pure staging with no real competition. International observers and human rights organizations also expressed concern about the development, citing the increasing restriction of fundamental political rights.

The Kremlin's reaction to the court ruling remained initially restrained. Official statements emphasized that the decision was made exclusively on the basis of applicable law. At the same time, the tone toward Yabloko in government-affiliated media had noticeably hardened in recent weeks, suggesting a politically desired framing of the proceedings.

Outlook on the Parliamentary Election

For the upcoming parliamentary election, the ruling effectively means the elimination of one of the last remaining opposition lists. What remains are essentially parties that either support the government's war line or are classified as politically loyal. According to observers, the election is therefore considered heavily restricted in terms of programmatic diversity and competition.
