Salzburg Festival Premiere Ends with Festive Reception at Hotel Sacher

The production was directed by Barrie Kosky, who is considered one of the more prominent opera directors of the present day and has staged productions in Salzburg on several occasions. His interpretation placed the story in a context that oscillated between a fashion accessory and a geographical allusion.
