Scaffolding collapsed at a construction site on Innsbruck's Südring, after which Egger-Lienz-Straße had to be fully closed from the eastern direction for around one hour.
The incident occurred on Monday at a construction site in the area of Innsbruck's Südring and triggered a major emergency response. According to police reports, the adjacent Andreas-Hofer-Straße was also affected. Residents and passersby had to detour around the area extensively.
Closure and traffic situation
Egger-Lienz-Straße in the Tyrolean capital had to be completely closed for the duration of the response — around one hour — from the eastern direction, as stated in a notification. Traffic coming from the western direction was not directly affected by the closure, but was only able to pass through the section in a limited manner.
