German darts professionals Martin Schindler and Ricardo Pietreczko have sealed first place in their three-team group and thus their place in the round of 16 at the Team World Championship in Frankfurt am Main, thanks to a 4:2 victory over the New Zealand duo of Ben Robb and Jonny Tata.
The German duo's second appearance at the World Cup of Darts was closer than the first, but in the end they prevailed comfortably. A day after the effortless 4:0 against the Philippines, Martin Schindler, who hails from Rodgau, and Ricardo Pietreczko defeated Ben Robb and Jonny Tata of New Zealand 4:2 on Friday evening. The victory secured the team first place in the group stage and the ticket to the first knockout round.
