Frankfurt am Main, 15 June 2026
German darts professional Martin Schindler publicly expressed his displeasure with the playing equipment after Germany's 4:8 loss in the quarterfinal of the Team World Championship in Frankfurt am Main against the Netherlands, publishing a photo of dartboard packaging in a trash can on Instagram.
Schindler, 29 years old and from Rodgau, lost on Sunday evening in the quarterfinal match of the Team World Championship in Frankfurt am Main together with Ricardo Pietreczko against the Dutch duo. At 4:7, the German team had the chance to reduce the deficit, but a deflected dart, a so-called bouncer, thwarted the comeback. Schindler was visibly annoyed on TV and complained on stage.
