The Schönbrunn Group recorded a visitor record in the past fiscal year: Schönbrunn Palace alone counted 3.96 million guests, meaning the company recorded approximately three quarters of all visits across the entire group.

The Schönbrunn Group looks back on the most successful year in its history to date. As Managing Director Klaus Panholzer explained at the annual results presentation, operations ran entirely without taxpayer money. On the contrary: 15.3 million euros in lease payments and 3.4 million euros in corporate tax went to the Republic. „Der Betrieb läuft komplett ohne Steuergeld“, Panholzer emphasized.

Financial Results

Revenue rose to 97.3 million euros, largely thanks to ticket sales. Just over two-thirds of income came from ticket sales, 13 percent from shop revenue, and 15 percent from rentals, leases, and events. The bottom line was a net annual surplus of 11.85 million euros.
