Middlesbrough, 24 August 2026
Seven people have died in a head-on collision near Middlesbrough in northeastern England, while police examine evidence of a possible link to a TikTok trend.
According to the North East Ambulance Service, the crash occurred in the county of Cleveland. Seven people died in the collision, including, according to British media reports, police officers on duty. The exact circumstances remain the subject of ongoing investigations by the relevant police authorities.
Statements from Emergency Services
Chief of Police Victoria Fuller expressed her dismay at the incident and stressed the dangers faced by emergency personnel. Police announced they would pursue the investigation with great urgency and inform the public of any new findings.
