The Swiss women's 4x100-meter relay team, consisting of Géraldine Di Tizio-Frey, Fabienne Hoenke, Léonie Pointet, and Salomé Kora, has won the silver medal at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham.

The four runners prevailed in an exciting final and relegated the competition to the lower places. This adds another medal for Switzerland at these championships, after the team had already drawn attention on the international stage in the past. Second place is the result of careful preparation over several seasons.

The Swiss racing team impressed on the track with clean exchanges and balanced splits. Anchor runner Salomé Kora in particular brought crucial experience to safely bring the relay to the finish line. The coordination between the lead-off runner, the inside and outside lanes was intensively trained ahead of the European Championships.
