Update of July 2, 2026: A spokesperson for Skiworld Ahrntal has now rejected the accusations in detail and provided specifics on water consumption. At the same time, the first voices from the valley are speaking up to defend the water gag on site.
The snowmaking system is located in the Family Park of Skiworld am Klausberg and is switched on there daily at 2 p.m. for two minutes. During this time, according to the operator, it sprays a fine water mist intended to create a rainbow effect in the sun. The action is aimed primarily at children, who can run into the spray mist.
