Sky and ITV confirmed this Monday the closing of negotiations that had begun several months ago, following an initial report from Reuters. The final price stands at £1.6 billion (around €1.9 billion), higher than the €1.8 billion estimated in some previous assessments. As an additional part of the package, Sky has committed to a five-year content supply contract worth £2.1 billion, an element not present in earlier versions of the deal and one that strengthens the operational integration between the two companies.
