A Soyuz rocket carrying two Russian cosmonauts and a US astronaut launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan to the International Space Station ISS on the afternoon of July 14, 2026, and docked a few hours later.
Launch and Docking
As the Russian state space agency Roscosmos announced via the messenger service Telegram, the Soyuz MS-29 spacecraft docked at the ISS "Pritschal" module at 8:52 p.m. Moscow time (7:52 p.m. CEST). "Heute um 20.52 Uhr Moskauer Zeit (19.52 Uhr MESZ) hat die Sojus MS-29 an dem Modul 'Pritschal' der ISS angedockt", the statement said. From launch in the Central Asian steppe of Kazakhstan to docking, around three hours elapsed.
On board the Soyuz are the Russians Pyotr Dubrov and Anna Kikina as well as the American Anil Menon. They form the 75th long-term mission to the ISS. The three are to live and conduct research on the space station for around eight months. "An Bord sind zwei Russen und ein US-Amerikaner", Deutschlandfunk reported. "Das Team soll rund acht Monate auf der Raumstation leben und forschen."
