The construction group Strabag posted higher half-year profit and at the same time revised its full-year guidance upward, as CEO Stefan Kratochwill announced in a report to shareholders.
Strabag is now looking more confidently at the current financial year following the first half. Stefan Kratochwill presented the revised expectations in a report to shareholders, citing the project development so far as the reason.
The company now expects output of close to 23 billion euros, up from a previous target of around 22 billion euros. In the report, Kratochwill explicitly pointed to higher capacity utilization in several core European markets.
Strabag is also raising the bar on operating earnings. The EBIT margin is now seen at between 5.5 and 6 percent, up from a previous 5.0 to 5.5 percent, Kratochwill said. The upgrade signals that projects are being executed more profitably than originally planned.
