After the end of the planned central hospital in the Styrian district of Liezen, the states of Styria and Salzburg have reached an agreement on cross-border care for patients from the Liezen district at the Kardinal Schwarzenberg Clinic in Schwarzach.
Styria and the State of Salzburg have agreed on a cooperation that governs the care of patients from the Liezen district, following the decision not to build the planned central hospital there. An agreement with Upper Austria's Bad Ischl has already been in place since April 1; now a corresponding arrangement with Salzburg follows. Starting in October, Styria will also pay Salzburg money for taking over patients, as the Styrian state government announced.
